A new do!

I was finally able to color my hair again! I was so thrilled with how it turned out. I have been growing my hair out for the last year & I can honestly say this is the longest that it has ever been! My hair is not all that wonderful most of the time & to give it a little body or life I have to curl it. I was having a relatively good hair day so I had to commemorate it with a new avatar. Just so I had proof! I had a little fly away in some of the pics but not even that harshed my good hair day buzz! I liked the bit of sun that was caught in the second photo so I figured I would add that as well! I am amazed at the difference in coloring between the two pics...I guess that's a great testimony on the importance of lighting.

Dance Recital time

The lighting in the theatre is not the best & I am so not crazy about the color of this chair.
These pics are from the dress rehearsal last night I am hoping that I get a few more shots in tonight at the actual show. I am so blessed to have such a photogenic cutie! She did not get that from me that's for sure!
I used a vignette that one of my friend on the ck mb showed me (shout out to Amanda!) I still have some playing around to do with these shots but I like the effect.

Christmas in June

OK, so not really but the weather is rather odd for June. Just wanted to add a couple LO's that I submitted for a CK call. Alas, they did not get picked up, but I wanted to share them any way, I was rather pleased with the way that they turned out. They "Sparkle" LO looks much better in person, I couldn't quite capture all of the sparkle.

My little girl

As summer
approaches and we start making our plans to enjoy those lazy days ahead. I can't help but think forward to the coming school year and the fact that my sweet girl is going to be a Fourth grader! Here are a couple photos that we took last night. I played around in PSE a little to bring out the texture of the wall that she is leaning against. I still have a long way to go but I am learning, slowly and surely!

I also added a LO
that echos the sentiments that I just shared. I guess I was feeling reminiscent because that photo was taken at her school.

A couple new Layots

Put together a couple quick Los last night.
Just simple & sweet but I like how they turned out. I am trying to play around with different styles to find my unique niche. I am drawn to so many different looks I really want to explore & create my own that is completely my own. A style that is eclectic & a fusion of many different styles. And so the process begins...finding my style! I will move forward with the motto "enjoy the journey!"

Chinese Whisper Challenge

Over on the CK message board I participated in a fun challenge! This is my second time doing this particular challenge but both times were very different. The first time around I was first in a long list of talented scrappers & I was able to see the sketch from which our LOs would be based. This second time I was the last one & rather than see the sketch I was able to see a LO based on another LO that was based on another LO that was....well you get the idea & the original LO was based on the sketch. today we do the reveal & we get to see how far off the original sketch we are. Here is my interpretation........
Evan & Ian are playing one of the games at Fia's Spring Fling carnival.
