We are all a Little Mad here!

Another Disney LO. I still need to add the journaling but I am out of ink so I will have to add it later. Here is the journaling:
Visiting the Mad Hatter & Alice was so much fun! When Sophia first approached them with autograph book in hand, the Hatter says "Oh good, A story!"
Alice replied "Oh Goody, I love a good story. But there are no pictures"
Sophia retorted " no. it's not a story. It's an autograph book. I need you to write your name"
"Where? Right here?" the MH asked. Sophia kindly replied "Yes Please, your name here."
Then the Mad Hatter proceeded to write......YOUR NAME HERE. too fun!
I am continuing on my journey to have better titles but I have to admit...this title was pretty easy to come up with! I used a mix of letter stickers for the title : Making Memories, KI Memories & American Crafts; the solid cs is Bazzil; pp is BG & the swirly paper is from an M's paper stack that I have had for a very long time. I am not sure of the manufacturer.
Have a lovely weekend & I pray that you stay safe with all of this crazy weather we have been having!

starting to feel back to normal!

I am enjoying a nice cup of coffee & just easing back into the swing of things. I started coming down with what I thought was the flu on Fri. Sat, my day consisted of Ibuprofen & bed. By Sunday morning my throat started hurting & my worst concerns were confirmed...I had strep throat! I started taking antibiotics right away because, although the strep throat is no walk in the park, the rash that I tend to get is by far the worst! I am praying that I started the treatment soon enough that I can fore go that stupid rash all together! UGH!
On a much happier note. I did manage to complete a project before I got sick (this is just my first chance to post it) I altered a picture mat that I had hanging in my bathroom. We have an ocean theme in the master bathroom but the picture hanging in the room was from my dd's nursery. I had been meaning to change it for ages!
supplies: I am unsure of the manufacturer for the pp, the die cuts are Quickutz & MME, I also inked the edges of just about everything! I used Bazzill for the shapes to add a little texture.

Every one is a jumper

I had several pics from King Arthur's Carousel & I wanted to create some sort of movement to give the illusion that they were in motion so.... I staggered the photos rather than my usual linear line up.

I have been working on my titles , a self prescribed challenge. I am really working on making a little more effort with them ( rather than being so lazy & just tacking them on as an after thought).

I used a mixture of products: the pp is from Recollections & Disney, the foam letters are a $ tree find (awhile back), the border sticker is from Ki Memories & the chip board is from a kit that I picked up at Joanne's a few years ago. Had fun with the color palette & chose bright & cheery hues to showcase all the energy of the day! just in case you are unsure what the title refers to: Each horse on King Arthur's Carousel is a jumper. In most carousel's they have a selection of jumpers & horses that
remain stationary.

the winners are:

I had the kids pick the winners. I put all the names in a hat & these are the names that they drew: VanEvera, Charli, Lady of the Lake & Kath. Now all I have to do is get your addy's & I can send the little tokens of scrappy goodness out. Everyone was so kind in their postings...thank you to all who participated in the blog hop. That was my first but I am sure that it won't be my last! Thanks all...so much fun & so many talented gals!
I have started scrapping my Disney LOs! Yay! Not quite as good as being there but almost! Remembering all of the amazing moments we had & recording them...so fun!
The first LO I titled "You Are my Princess" I had to adapt a letter to make the r, I also kinda wish that I had a small e rather than large, oh well. What I love most about this LO is that my dear daughter did not really want to have her photo taken with the princesses (she wanted to be riding rides) but since all of her cousins were seeing them, she went along. She feels that she is too old for the princesses. I love this Lo because it tells her that no matter how old she gets....she will always be my princess.

The boys in Disney California. I used Fancy Pants patterned paper. I am going to include hidden Mickeys on all of my Disney LOs. The Mickey's in this LO are not so hidden but can you find old Mouse Ears in the above?

Blog Hop

I had hoped to get this posted last night but I didn't quite make it! One of the things that I enjoy making with my scrapbook scraps are gift bags. I love creating personalized bags for the different holidays. They are a great way to use up all of those scrappy odds and ends that we collect! As far as the supplies that I used, I used a variety of different manufacturers. Most of the patterned paper is from K&Co, the glitter stickers are from Target $ spot from a few years ago, the heart sticker border is BG, the "Be Mine' paper clip is Making Memories & the cb letters are American Crafts.
In yesterday's post I offered up some prizes for title help. The challenge continues...I will compile all of the comments and choose a few winners randomly. For those that didn't read yesterdays post. I am horrid at titles & would love for you guys to post some tips that work for you!

Blog Hope tommorrow

In anticipation of the blog hop I am running a bit of a test. I created this LO of the hubs with our dear daughter. I love that Sophia is a "hand holder".

I used a mix of supplies for this LO: pp: BG blush & MME, the stickers are BG & the letters are American crafts (cb) & sei. I used the same Cricut cart that I used for the Valentines' to make the scalloped heart (I punched the holes w/ my crop-o-dile) .

On a somewhat related note, titles are not my strength so I have been working on changing that! I am challenging myself to come up with stronger more visually appealing titles. Generally my titles are tacked on at the end...an afterthought. Oddly enough my give away will be about titles so, think about some great tips to give me that you can post in my comment section. I will tell ya more about it tommorrow!

Sophia's Valentines

I made 34 of these bad boys...I kept the design simple for two reasons. First I had to make 34 & second, they are for fourth graders & all they will care about is the candy! LOL I used my Cricut to cut out the hearts. I borrowed my friend's Doodlecharms cart. I used a variety of papers but the patterned paper is from MME. Basically, I just used what I had on hand. The only thing that I actually purchased for this project were the suckers & I bought them at the Dollar Tree (20 per bag). I inked the edges of the inner heart & then adhered it to the bigger heart. I used my trusty Crop O dile to punch a hole for the ribbon.

The Blog Hop is on Friday...hope to see everybody then! More projects to come!

Valentine's day countdown

More pics of my Valentine tree. Today I am going to start working on Fia's Valentines for her class. We have been making Valentines for her classmates since Kindergarten. This year I saw an adorable card in Scrapbook Trends that I am going to make my own. The girls are coming over today to scrap so I will be able to use one of my scrap buddies carts for my E. Between all of us, I never need to buy another Cartridge again! Yesterday I posted pics from my tree but I didn't mention the supplies. I used patterned paper from My Minds Eye called Home Glitter, the metal tabs are from Making Memories, the rub-ons are from Basic Grey, I inked the edges with red & used the Fiskars punch Threading Water.
I really enjoyed making the tags, such a fun way to add a few Valentine touches to my decor!

As the Blog hop approaches I have been collecting little prizes & goodies to give out. Those Making Memory clips have been around a while but, they were so easy to use and added a nice little touch that I thought that they would make a fun give away. Adding them to my little pile of giveaway goodies.

Valentines day tree

After all of the Christmas decorations were taken down I couldn't bear to take down my little tree so, I decided to make Valentine's decorations for it. Now that it's Feb. I figured I could start posting some of the ornaments that I made. I like the way they turned out. I will be posting more as a countdown to the Valentine's blog hop.....hope to see ya then!

Here's the first of many Disney Los. It documents some down time at Disney. Evan chose his souvenir the first day, he fell in love with this Robot Pluto & just had to have it. He was still talking about it on the third day so he used the Gift Disney certificate that Santa got him to make the purchase. The boys had so much fun taking Pluto for walks!

More vacation LOs

As of yet I am still putting off my patterned paper organization. Instead I thought I would post some LOs from this week. I am still working on our family summer vacation album. The letters on the first LO are from MM & they keep falling off. Ugh! I hate having to add adhesive to things that are supposed to have adhesive. Oh Well! The paper is from Fancy Pants. Found these stamp stickers while I was organizing. That's one of the best things about organizing....you find stuff! It also makes ya realize ya have way to much stuff!
Love these pics of the kid jumping seaweed. The pictures say it all. The kids had so much fun!

On another note, I have been checking out all the goodies from CHA. Love seeing all of the new scrap candy that people are posting on their blogs. I have seen some tempting products can't wait till they start hitting the stores!
